Well needed RDA is a move to streamline remittance collection

The Government of Pakistan introduced  “Roshan Digital Account”(RDA) and the webinar was held by the High Commission

Governor State bank of Pakistan Dr. Reza Baqir, High commissioner Moazzam Ahmad Khan and Deputy Governor SBP, and  Dr. Murtaza Syed were present in the webinar.

The business community and diaspora members, approximately 100 participants including British MPs, bankers, CEOs, and financial experts virtually attended the event and Q&A session.

Mr. Shehzad Shafiq, Minister Trade moderated the webinar, says a press release received today from London. Addressing the event, Governor State Bank of Pakistan said the RDA activity of the Government of Pakistan targets associating the diaspora with Pakistan financially by encouraging their settlements.

Talking about the remarkable highlights of RDA, Governor State Bank, Dr. Reza Baqir mentioned that it offers adaptability in guidelines without settling on the norms and permits total opportunity to dispatch any sum, any time with no consent.

He shared with the members that the State Bank of Pakistan intends to acquaint all such activities to encourage Pakistanis abroad.

In his comments, the High Commissioner termed Roshan Digital Account as an amazing initiative of the GOP  which not just satisfies a long past due interest of the expatriate Pakistanis, it will also help in attracting remittances and ventures to Pakistan.

He noticed that the activity would integrate the Pakistani diaspora into the Pakistani banking and computerized installments framework by giving a full scope of banking administrations.

Under RDA, the State Bank of Pakistan is collaborating with 08 commercial banks operating in Pakistan in which overseas Pakistan can open their accounts.
